Push Blade Mowers

Anyone used one of the old school mowers recently? A lot of my yard is unmowable leaving not much to get done, I'm thinking a simple push mower might be enough.

Unmowable isn't a word? Who'd a thunk it?

I bought a craftsman push mower last year for my wife. She doesn't like using the tractor... I've used it a couple times and didn't think that it cut very well. I guess they are ok.. But I'll stick with my power mowers.

Hey it was her idea. She's the one that wanted it.... Now I'm the one that has to store it since she never uses it.

Speaking of lawnmowers, I had a great mower and weed eater which worked great until I decided to hire a gardener. My next door neighbor asked if he could borrow my power equipment to do his yard, and since I wasn't using them, I said, "go ahead." Two years later, he said my mower broke on him and said it was going to cost $100 to fix, and asked when he could pick up the money from me. After I laughed for a bit, he got the hint and fixed it himself.

A month later, I saw him toss my gas powered weed eater across his yard saying the POS never works right. He threw it in the trash and bought a new one. Question is....do I now own the new one, or have I relinquished my rights to the mower and weed eater?

Push mowers are fine if the blades are razor sharp and it's not a big area.
But you will miss the noise and the smell of gasoline.
An electric mower is another option a lot of people here with small lawns use.

That's a a horrible situation. I would mark it in the lose column and just move on.

That's what I've done. They are good neighbors, who also own a vacation home where my vacation home is, so they are "double" neighbors.
