Any other brewers here?

Are there any other brewers on the forums? I was referred by HBT, and was just curious how many others on this forum are homebrewers! If there are a lot of us, especially in the South, maybe we can make a local brewing group on the forum!! =D

If there are brewers here, what is your favourite beer to make? Anyone else making mead?

Where do you find your recipes? Or do you create them? How many gallons did you make?? I wrapped up an American Amber Ale (2 gallons) a couple days ago, the first time I made it I was very pleased with how it came out. Prost!

Sweet! Got some Great Pumpkin Ale in bottles with one more week of conditioning. Pretty excited about it! Hmm...I've never made cider before. . .

Cider is pretty easy - 4 gallons apple juice, add yeast. Wait til done.

Hahahah! That sounds great! Gonna have to give it a shot tonight! You use D-47 or EC-1118 or something like that? I got some EC just laying around and some washed D-47 so that'd be great hahaa.

I have made a batch with treetop using Edwort's recipe and it does not come out like a hard cider. It just makes a dry white apple wine. It is good though if you like a real dry wine.

I used Red Star Montrachet yeast for the apple wine. Doesn't create krausen and has a nice clean yeast cake.
