Just went to BRC last week. Quite a decent tap selection!

Made my first visit to Liberty Station off of Washington. Won't be my last visit. Only had about 10 on tap, but their philosophy there is "No Crap On Tap" and I would say they follow it to a T. Atmosphere is really relaxed, and from talking to people the females the show up later in the evening aren't too bad (I was there about 3-5pm so it was only a few people). They have three cornhole set ups to help waste some time while drinking a cold craft brew from tap.

Try Shamrock Tavern in Spring - lots of good beers and run by folks with real pub experience from the UK. Lots of fun!

There is a Mead-In of the Cane Island Alers at the No-Label Brewery ( Login | Facebook) in old town Katy on January 16th at 2pm. The brewery is located in the 3rd or 4th set of rice silos on the right. Look for the sign at the railroad crossing. The members of the Cane Island Alers Login | Facebook will be brewing mead. Attendees are encouraged to bring mead or homebrew to share. A lawn chair is recommended too. Finger food is always welcome.

If you are in the Spring area, Chuggin' Charlie's Pub is pretty cool... but the smoke gets pretty rough by the end of the night.

A couple of good places to go for a selection of beer are Cedar Creek, The Ginger Man and the Front Porch.

Cedar Creek has a great atmosphere and decent selection while Ginger Man has a great selection with a decent atmosphere. I'd go to either of those before Petrol any day. Petrol bartenders are all aholes that pretend to know wtf they are talking about. It's sad because that bar has amazing potential.
