Really?? Chain restaurants? Hole-in-the-Wall burgers beat chains any day.

My top burger choices would be either Christian's Tailgate or Mel's

Nothing wrong with Beck's. Just cause it's a chain doesn't mean they can't make a good burger. Fuddruckers is good too. Love their ostrich burger. Sure they're a chain now, but I remember when they just had the one location on Chimney Rock. Even chains have to start somewhere!

I suppose there's some truth to that, through through personal experience lesser known restaurants are far superior in quality and customer care than chains. Not absolute, just a majourity. . .They care more about each customer, as that customer is ACTUALLY important to the livelihood of their business as opposed to chains who could honestly give a **** less if you leave and never return, because other sheeple will show up to take your place. Just what I've seen over many years of being around.

Clearly this is not across the board. Some small restaurants/businesses are run by families, some of whom are just rude by nature and/or apathetic.

I'm a huge fan of Cypress Station Grill, myself. Cypress Station Grill - Homepage

And if you're including chains, Willie's does a pretty good burger!

If you go low carb like me, try the lettuce wrapped burger at Red Robin. I love it.

Lankford Grocery. If you like hot stuff they have a killer firehouse burger that will melt your face. They make a habanero mustard out of homegrown peppers. Lots of good, unique burgers for cheap! They close at three and its a real hole, so get there early and dont complain!
