Most of the chain places have terrible BBQ.

Want to try some good BBQ? Go to a TGCBCA or IBCA BBQ cook-off and ask to be a judge. You will get some of the best BBQ on the planet.

Most of the places locals take out-out-towners are more name and less BBQ. (Goode Company for example) Believe it or not, my favorite of the "chains" is Rudy's. The fact that they also sell gas turns alot of people off but you really cannot beat the service and price for the Q. Most of the small family owned places are hit or miss and at lunch you'll have to wait quite a while for your food.
