we've got a little startup jeep club based out of Jacksonville... A Jeep Club

we wish there were more parks nearby... Rockport used to be pretty awesome before they closed...
Hannibal Rocks in MO is ok and relatively close for us west-central illinois folks... but it's not near as big as Rockport was...

My wife and I attended the first annual Jeep Jamboree at the Badlands last summer... it was pretty awesome... got to wheel on private land not normally open to the public... hope to attend again this year.

never been to the Cliffs, but want to...

I really wish they'd open up some OHV trails in Jim Edgar Panther Creek (between ashland and chanlerville, IL... there's more than enough room out there... they have horse trails and snowmobiling trails that's it... nothing like having activities that hardly anybody really does...

Marshall IL has ATV trails. Not the best but OK if you have no where to ride. Haven't been there in 8 years.

forgot to add in my post above... I've been to the Mud Mayhem and Motorsports (www.ezmuddin.com) park... it's not bad... but more suited to big trucks and ATVs as opposed to Jeeps... they were pretty cool, however, and let us blaze some trails where we saw fit... could be better if they had more acreage...

here's a poser pic from my trip to that park...

also, there's a bunch of pictures of our journeys to surrounding OHV parks on our club page... A Jeep Club

Legal lol most of us find construction zones with new developing homes. Your other option would be Signs that say "Private Property-No Trespassing" those are good places to start. None of which are leagal.

Unless you are "off roading" in a corn field, there's not much here.

Checked with a State Park Ranger, and he knew of nothing in ANY park.

All I have heard of is the Badlands in IN. About 3 hours outside Chicago. Anybody know anything in the NW burbs? Preferably trails? I know it doens't help but I drove some great trails around Buena Vista, CO.
