Here is a recipe I found on the web and have done a variance of it:

Black Honey Spruce Lager

An awesome brew for those who enjoy the rich taste of a dark beer, and the lighter body of a light beer. This brew will impress even those who say they don't like dark beer.
Black Honey Spruce Lager does indeed have spruce essence as one of its ingredients, as well as honey, malt and hops. For a dark beer, it has a light body due to the use of honey.
The recipe is for 5 gallons.

* 3.3 lbs. plain dark malt extract syrup
* 2 lbs. plain dried amber malt extract
* 2 lbs. light honey
* 3/4 lb. crystal malt
* 1/3 lb. black patent malt
* 1 1/2 oz. Cascade hops (boiling)
* 1/2 oz. Hallertauer hops (finishing)
* 1 oz. spruce essence (available at home brew supply stores)
* 1-2 pkgs. lager yeast
* 3/4 cup corn sugar, or 1 1/4 cups dried malt extract (for bottling)

O.G.: 1.050-1.054
F.G.: 1.013-1.017

Add the crushed crystal and black patent malts to 1 1/2 gallons of cold water. Remove the grains when the boiling commences. Add the malt extract, honey, and boiling hops and continue boiling for 45 minutes. Add the finishing hops and spruce essence during the final 2-4 minutes of boiling. Sparge immediately into the fermenter and 3 1/2 gallons of cold water. Add yeast when cool, and bottle when fermentation is complete.
