Parke County Covered Bridge Festival

Does anyone think that the Parke County Covered Bridge Festival has become over commercialized? Why don't vendors and the host get back to the basics of what the festival is supposed to be about.

My parents went this past year and told me that it wasn't near as big as it was 10 years ago, which was the last they had been. They said a lot of the vendors were strapped for cash and couldn't make it.
