Sight Seeing

What are some good sights to see or activities to do in this area? I prefer less popular places that are just as good if not better, because I don't like crowds. Any suggestions?

Depends what you like. For outdoors there is Idylwild, the tram at Palm Springs, Big Bear, and of course the ocean is a stone's throw away.

Dont forget Arrowhead and Mt High. Mt Baldy is about 20 min north of the 210 fwy and they have a restaraunt with a live band on weekends.

How are the restaurant near Mt. Baldy?

I heard people run near Baldy...is there a dirt or paved hiking/running ground?

I would also add one for Idywild.
I also prefer Palm Springs but that is only because i like to golf with the old people.

Activties .....once it cools down is all of the Southern California desert...the possiblities are endless on where to go and things to explore...start with Anza-Borrego State Park and that will keep you busy for quite awhile

Devil's Punchbowl Natural Area Website
This place is an easy drive from the Victorville area and sounds interesting.
