Yes, they have intermittent high speed internet here, but the jerkwads suddenly turned off my internet service. A college friend of my daughter downloaded the Daily Show from HULU, they said it was copyright infringement, although at the college they do it all the time, and I know it is "illegal", but this was with no warning.
Qwest DSL is slower, but I don't have the internet police on me.

Don't let them over charge you. After the less expensive into package was up they raised my rates to the current charge. Way too much! I called and tod them this as costing too much and had to get my bill lowered. They offered me the same into package for agreeing to a 1 year subscription. My bill went down $50 with just a 2 minute phone call.

In my opinion ,Mediacom is a price gouger and does not care about its consumers. they just offered free digital converters that come with only loyalty. The average worker just wants to enjoy television after work. What about everyone with laptops ?Are they supposed to tote around this this converter to get work,studies, and research,done? what about just watching telivision?
Mediacom cares less ,as long as you keep paying! and you will, as long as there is no competition in the DAVENPORT IOWA AREA. I know it is most likely all of Iowa (from what I have read) .I say: Go Netflix ,RedBox,Imax,Family video,Blockbusters,and any other alternative out there. I have no problem giving. I have a big problem with unfair treatment of consumers.GIVE ME MY TELEVISION BACK!! Where are the people thet we put in office on this isssue? ( I forgot they can afford it). I'm just gonna go to the casino. thank you!
