Swope Park Zoo. - Kansas City, Missouri

Anyone been to the zoo in KC lately? We have been thinking of taking the grandkids but the last time we were there, several years ago, they did not have much. There were long walks between animals.

We went just one week ago and took my Dau and G-Dau. It has improved at least 5fold since the last time I went. There are two means of transport for getting to the Africa and Australia sections. Tram is a gas powered trolley and the Train is a miniture Railroad. I have Arthuritus and cant walk far; but I enjoyed it. The animals are in natural enviroments and not just cages.

If you go, please post up a few pix. I havent been in over 10 years, and I remember it being a very sad example of a zoo.

That's why I hesitate about going. Last time we went it was awful. Have been to the Tulsa and Oklahoma city zoos over the last couple of years and would not suggest that anyone go to either one. The Tulsa zoo was almost devoid of animals.

KC Zoo is lots better. Try Omaha = excellent zoo.

We have been to Omaha. Excellent zoo and aquarium.
