I used to chase storms with a friend of mine. We have some pretty cool videos. Mostly just around the Topeka area, we didn't chase them all over the state like on TV. No need, during the spring, there are enough storms to go around.

I've seen several up close. I live right in the middle of tornado alley and I'm not smart enough to go into a shelter.

That seems to be a universal trait for anyone that grew up in tornado alley. When the sirens go off, it means go out on the porch and take a look.

It wasn't just tornadoes either, some wall clouds are amazing, and a supercell from a distance is awesome. They are as beautiful as they are dangerous.

I used to chase storms with my son a few years ago. Probably one of the best adrenalin rushes you can get.

When the tornado sirens go off i grab cameras and go looking just love it

You can become a storm spotter by attending a class and then can call in reports to the news stations.
