There's always the Little Apple Brew Crew in Manhattan. They meet monthly, but it's more geared toward drinking. You show up, pass around your bottles, then go home. Very little beer related discussion. They are a good bunch of guys though.

i went to a little apple brew crew meeting last night we did talk some about the types of beer but mostly on non beer related subjects!!

Thanks for posting this! I just purchased my first equipment kit from Midwest Supply using the recent Groupon. My first brew will be Irish Red Ale from a kit. I will have to check out KC Biermeisters and get to know some of the local brewers. I live in Overland Park...
