Tamales in Kansas

I just moved here fro New Mexico not to long ago, as part of our Christmas tradition, we always have tamales. Does any one know a place that has them for sale cold? I've tried a few of the local restaurants, and have not been terribly successful.

Well to my surprise I actually found some frozen tamale's at Braum's. They were very close to the kind my mother used to get from a mexican family when I was a child. Still not quite as good, but they beat the hell out of canned tamales.

Orozcos Restaurant in Kanopolis, Kansas have great tamales. And if you call ahead I think you could get them in any quantity to go.

There was a guy selling tamale's at the Overland Park Farmer's market this past season. Maybe when the market opens up again, you might ask him...

Yeah I'm from Las Cruces and there is a lady that sells out side the market on Broadway by 21st in Wichita and they are pretty good. She sells until they run out so get there early. There is a mexican store on broadway that sells them too.

My daughter learned to make tamales from a couple of Mexican ladies she worked with. They are the real thing, corn husks and all.
