I went there and I still live here. Lexington is a big college town. Not a full blown city. UK is very big, but not quite on par with some of the Big Ten Schools in size. I think there are like 30k undergrads.

Atmosphere is great. good outdoors nearby, good campus life, greek, bars, etc.

SEC sports is also a big plus. Also near to Cincinnati, Louisville, Nashville, Columbus, Knoxville, Indianaplis. So you are close enough to the bigger cities. Only 5 hours of Chicago, Memphis, and Atlanta.

I think I am in the minority but I did not like it. The math department is terrible and in general the classes are too big.

I heard the gen ed classes were pretty big, didn't hear that about the math dept, though. What exactly was the problem with it?
