remembering back when by/ oldsgt

Watching that new tv show "vegas strip" makes me not want to visit vegas since it is nothing like it was in1950 when I lived there. Now the town is more ike a zoo.
At least the desert is the same out beyond the sprawling blacktop and concrete.
Even nellis afb where I lived is not the same or even close to it.
Good thing memories still remain.

I haven't been there since '79.
Heard it's changed a bit.

I saw that new tv show "vegas strip" What a zoo that fifth street has turned into since I wuz there in 1952. Vegas was a nice small town, pop about 28000 but now it is a mess. I wouldn't care to go there any more.
I was at nellis then and there was maybe 6 miles of open road between NLV and nellis. Now I hear old sunrise mountain and frenchman's mountain is gone...
Good thing memories still are there...\\ signed oldsgt...

I remember the old days (1978) when we couldn't buy hardly anything without special orders. crappy groceries, no competition ( they had you by the chigandees) and no internet back then. We could get all the way across town in 15 minutes! woohoo!
