Though I drive a lifted JK with 35's, I wave to any modified Jeep. Stock Jeep owners rarely know that they belong to a group, so rarely wave back. If they wave, I'm happy to wave back. Any lifted or modded ride, I wave first. To me it's not the model, although a bit of rivalry is funny, it's off-roading, beaching, etc. That we all share regardless. And for the record, I love my TJ too. If you happen to pass me, you bet I'll be giving you the salute!

JK Owner

I just got my first jeep a few months back. 2007 JK Have not yet done anything to it. It's on 17" as opposed to the 16" it came with but that's about it.

I have been getting involved with the folks at Outlawed Offroad - Home.

I do wave to any jeep I pass. Some wave back and some do not.

I don't wave with my budget boosted xj; but I'll return the gesture. Typically it stays between the significantly modified crowd; like AdironDoc said; it is all about the lifestyle

I generally will not wave to women in anything other than a highly modded jeep as I've gotten way too many nasty looks that say, "ok, who is that and why is he messing with me?".

For some, the purchase of a Jeep must have been more of a fashion statement than any appreciation of four-wheeling..and that's ok too. But you'll never get a wave out of them. Haven't you ever seen the reaction of two girls who show up at the prom and realize they're wearing the same dress? Not good!
