April/ May Gulf Coast trip, info

We are planning a trip to the Gulf Coast states 4/25 - 5/10. Looking for info on weather, things to do and things to see.
Thanks , I'd appreciate any helpful information.

Late April and Early May are typically very HOT. I would plan for hot weather, high 80's to mid 90's, but there is always a chance for mid 60's at night if we have a cold front come through. Where are you planning to visit? If you make it to New Orleans try any of John Besh's restaurants they are excellent. Cafe Du Monde is a can't miss spot in the French Quarter for beignets and coffee. Stay at the Omni Royal in the middle of the French Quarter or if you are looking for cheaper the Marriot on Canal is really nice.
