Cafe Du Monde

I know that Cafe Du Monde gets a lot of buzz, but I can't help craving their Beignets! I go every time I visit family in Lake Charles. What's your favorite cajun restaurant in NOLA?

It rocks. I am forced to stop in everytime I'm on the French Quarter.

We are going down to NOLA this weekend to see a band play at the Hard Rock. We have already discussed going to Cafe Du Monde the next morning. Everyone loves their food. lol

If you are in the French Quarter, go to NOLA. It's one of Emeril's places. I highly suggest the duck.

If you want to go to a local favorite, hit Drago's in Metairie for some char-broiled oysters or Pascal's Menali on Napoleon for BBQ shrimp.

Their duck is awesome. The waiter told us they make it by slowly stewing it for hours, that's why it's so tender. And about the BBQ shrimp, I could never leave New Orleans without getting some. The best part is soaking up the sauce with french bread. I had my favorite order at Pascal's Manale.

Because it's the best!

Unfortunately, I can't remember the last time I had it. Sad story.

I would imagine that feeling I get when I arrive in the french quarter is a lot like that feeling crackheads get when they need a fix.

The best is when you stay out all night, go by the Cafe to eat about 15 beignets, then go back to the hotel room to sleep for a good 12 hours.
