Really? I didn't know there were multiple locations. Very cool.

there are different places, but still nothing like going to the one in New Orleans itself.

I've been to the one in Mandeville (north short of Lake P) and it's good.

How recent is this? I live in Prarieville, which is practically the same town as Gonzales now. I haven't heard of it. Would sure be nice to have a 5 min drive to get my fix.

Southern homemade cooking....mustard greens, peas, cornbread, meatloaf, chicken, gumbo, shrimp, cornbread....you know, all that good stuff Grandma cooked up! It's on Frenchman street.

Also, check out Port-O-Call for the best burger ever.

We have a place similar, but I'm sure not as good, in Frisco. It's called Babe's. They do family helpings of greenbeens, mashed potatoes, corn, homemade biscuits and the best chicken fried steak ever. It's as big as a dinner plate, no joke. Not to mention the homemade pies... You never leave hungry, that's for sure.

I have to vote for Drago's in Metairie. Their char-broiled oysters are incomparable!
