I Grew up on a farm here in Maine ... I left for KS in 1994. Although I lived and worked in southeast KS for 5 months and lived very comfortably, it wasn't home. ... Here in Maine the summers are hot and the winters are cold. Spring and fall have a good mix of warm/cold weather (70 degrees one day 30 the next). I would suggest the Rockland lobster festival in July ... it is an awesome time.

Climate. I may bitch about it a lot but it's pretty sweet having 4 distinct seasons that greatly define the beauty of the scenery and the quality of outdoor activities.

JLCinLA this is a invite to come wheeling with us when you get out here, come up to Penobscot County and we will show you some good "Mainah!" wheeling, everything these guys say is true, I moved from MA went to boarding high school in Freeport and now go to school in Bangor, wicked nice people, made me (the flatlandah) feel right at home.

as VTECH says ... the best people to wheel with

so l see your profile you have a Jeep ... no better way to trail ride ... there are so many OHV clubs in Maine that will keep you busy every weekend

you will see in other threads that there is a long list of clubs ... it all depends what type of wheeling and where you decide to land

but when you are ready and want to go out, make sure you come to Bangor and look us up ... we will make sure you see Maine the way you should ... in your Jeep!

look us up ... PV4WD.com
