Recommended Fishing Holes in Maine?

Do any locals recommend a particular spot? I was thinking of trying Rangeley in hopes of catching some trout to fry.

I have been up there before, but not in a few years. It's a beautiful area up there to just kick back and relax.

For those interested in Bass Fishing - I've heard that 3 mile pond and china lake (both in South China/Vassalboro, ME) are good. I haven't had much success though.

I've also heard good things about the sebasticook river, especially if you are canoe fishing.

Swan Lake is littered with folks Ice fishing. There must be something there. Or maybe its just the Beer.

jeffreys ledge. i don't freshwater fish but maine saltwater fishing is outstanding!
