Built my 1st hive last month. Bees come from GA soon.

Just learned about robbing in class.

There seem to be plenty of things that want your honey or will ruin a hive.

yes the robbers I had where proffesional robbers. there must be a big hive of wild in the woods some where. going to see if i can find it this year. these honey bees looked all black. because all they do is steal honey. there black because of darting in and out of hives and fighting wears the yellow fuzz off so the bald. I had GA bees and our class all had GA bees. we lost over half of the bees from there. we are going to get bees from beehavin in cumberland RI this time. bees are from up here ing the north and bread to live here.

Bandit bees....

Wild.

If the GA bees don't work out RI bees sound like a plan. I hear you can put a entrance reducer in to make it harder for the robbers to enter/easier for your bees to keep them out. Did you try that? Those sound like bad a$$ robber bees.

yeah i reduced the entrance when i got home but the damage was done. even my neighbors heard the load buzzing. the hive was real strong too. real stange the president of the club lost three hives. it was a bad year dont know why because they had lots of honey and pollen too. try agian i guess. get your bee orders in fast. i check three places so far for bee nucs sold out for this year.
