I'd have to say towns north and south of Boston, like Gloucester, Rockport, and areas like Cape Cod would be good reasons to visit. Also, Maine lobsters, or REAL lobsters, are always a good reason to visit the region... Visit during either spring or fall and you'll typically have good/decent weather (don't like the weather? wait a few minutes )... Also, if you come during the right time of year, the lobsters will have 'soft' or thin shells, making them very easy to open up... mmmmmmm lobster... You can also easily go north into coastal Maine and enjoy the scenery...

There's a few good reasons, Fall Foliage, Boston itself, The North-End for food and just the history alone is worth it
