Someone said a good reason is to visit "The People" ??
Umm.. I dunno about you but it's been my experience that the people of the Midwest are rude and nasty in comparison to the people out west and down south.
You should visit to see the lakes, the sand dunes, and just all of the beautiful scenery! I have traveled a lot for work and I must say that Michigan, especially Northern Michigan is one of the most beautiful places you could visit. I would recommend Traverse City, Torch Lake, Ludington, and check out Grand Rapids and Lake Michigan over in Grand Haven.

For sure -- You can't beat Northern MI.. Esp. the U.P.
If you visit Torch Lake see if you can pick out Eminem's place.
No way I could narrow it down to just a single reason to visit Michigan. Water, Woods, Wines, the People; those are the top things I can think of, and about as short as I can make the list.
