A little known fact about Michigan

is that you are never more than 3 miles from a lake in the state of Michigan. If you love to fish, like me, you're in luck. We have great bass fishing, great trout fishing, excellent panfish (sunfish) and don't forget about the great salmon and Lake Trout in the Great Lakes!

Or swim in the lakes w/o worrying. (especially Lake St. Clair!)

I've lived here my whole life and you would never, ever see me in that water.

award-winning distillery ! ! !

Grand Traverse Distillery in Traverse City makes awesome vodka from local grains. You can even get some made with local cherries, it tastes amazing!

And they make whisky, too.

Michigan is different from Detroit. Detroit sucks and its just like any other big city. But the suburbs are all pretty nice but when you get "up north" its just amazing. Forests/wilderness is amazing, especially in the fall with the changing season into fall.
