Is there another place to go other than Famous Dave's? Dickies is new and unproven, but they do seem more of a lunch place...

Market BBQ in Minneapolis is good, they do a dry rub and you have several sauces on the table to pick from. I think they have been there forever.
It's on Nicollet ave right by downtown.

Famous Daves-WAY too much liquid smoke.
Rudolphs is good and sweet.
Dickies-havent been there but folks rave about it saying its much better than FD.
Market BBQ-I used to love it, but recently the ribs seem too dried out.

My personal favorie is Big Daddys Saturday BBQ on University and Dale in StP.

I'll have to check out Big Daddys, that's not very far from where I live.

I also like Ted's in South Minneapolis.

I havent heard of Teds. Where is that?

And I know its pretensous, but MY BBQ is really the best. Pork ribs on a low heat for a long time. I have a dry rub receipe that I found a few years ago. The technique is what makes the so unbelievable.

Boil the ribs for 30-45 min take them out of the water and immediately put the rub on. The heat and moisture makes the rub MELT into the meat.

I make a sauce too that has Apple Schnapps in it. WOW!!!

Teds is just off Hiawatha and 36th or 38th I can't remember the street, It's take out only. Just down the street from the Cardnal bar. Look for the smoke stack, you can't miss it.

Umm, any sauce that has Apple Schnapps in it must be good. Sounds like you have that down my friend.

Scott Ja Mama's on 54th and Nicollet was my favorite. Nothing beat a full rack of their ribs... You have to try it out! Scott Ja-Mamas
