I Fish a lot of lakes around the Brained Lakes area in the winter, I do pretty well for Walleyes on Gull, Whitefish chain, Round and North Long. Also do pretty good for crappies to. Don't get to get out in the summer much.

I am really looking forward to some ice, i would love to get up to lake of the woods sometime, we usually spend a week on Red lake every winter, but we have been talking about trying something new this year.

It's been years, decades in fact, since I've been there. But I recall a lake called White Bear Lake having some pretty good fishing. Walleye, Pike, and some Bass. Then there were numerous private lakes and ponds.... so many lakes, so little time.
