I lived in Columbus for 15 years and did good there for what is availible. I still have a daughter there with my ex.(aswell as several family members on my mother's side) and go visit her every other month. I am glad I moved down here from there both for work and for the activities for the family.
I thought about moving back once,ONCE, then realized there was not enough going on in that town to justify me moving back. My daughter, up there, doesn't want me to move back because she likes coming here in the summer for the beaches and better attractions for her to enjoy.

This place is hot/humid and a nasty muddy mess.

Biloxi isn't too bad. Moved here from Vegas and its alot smaller and safer. Has everything my family needs.

Hot and humid in the summer BUT summer stretches well into Nov. Crime is high around Jackson but suburbs have become a lot better over the last 10 years. Nightlife is lacking but there are a few decent clubs varying in music and social life. It is a faily expensive city to live in/around. Away from the city and it's a fairly typical " country" life. Not a bad place for being outdoors. Hunting, fishing, 4 wheeling(usually on private land) & camping all pretty good.

Not the greatest sports city/state. Mississippi Braves (Minor League Baseball), kids recreational sports is growing (soccer, baseball), college football is fairly big with the SEC conference. Good fun colleges - MS State, Ole Miss & Southern Univ.

Biloxi has alot of gulfcoast charm, like Alabama, Florida, and Louisiana combined.

great new orleans food and others, great seafood, great fishing, casinos and tons of small local bars with live music and friendly people, beaches, sunsets, no snow.

=)

South MS (Biloxi area) or North MS (South Haven/Olive Branch) are the better spots for some nightlife. However living in MS and partying in LA is awesome!!!

No real night life, maybe on the Coast at the casinos. Beautiful State, great hunting & fishing. The most beautiful women in the U.S.
