Joplin, Mo.

A 2 mile wide stretch of downtown Joplin was destroyed by a tornado tonight. At least 24 dead and hundreds missing.

It was "wrapped in rain". A TV station had a tower cam on it and couldn't see it untill it hit the camera. And it destroyed buildings that were supposed to be tornado proof.

This morning in joplin a clear sky gave way to ominous black clouds similar to those prior to the tornado. NBC was saying if another hits the area the sirens are down and useless.

More than 100 still missing. I have relatives working in search and rescue. And some working in triage.
