I have not been - but i have a few friends that went - and said it was awesome. They did crappie fishing in late winter/early spring and bass fishing in late Spring.

Fished there a couple times with a buddy from Vandalia, MO. Haven't had much luck with largemouth on that lake but sure have got into a mess of crappie (lime green and yellow jig). Last time I was on the lake we did have a piston rod explode out the side of the case

MTL is awesome. You can boat, or take the family to the landing for go carts and water slides or one of the other public beaches to swim, crappie fishing is always good.

So much nicer than the noise, traffic, over development and dirt that is Lake of the Ozarks.

Great camping. If you are fishing it is generally a good idea to call about the water level first.

been there several times. Great place to go camping and fishing and just laying back. not too much in activities and eateries around except in little towns.
