The state has a long history of music and famous performers. Blues, bluegrass, country, and even modern rock. The Cape Girardeau area is one of the best to enjoy the arts. Any one have an good hot spots or information?
Lived in Springfield for many years, they have a great Blues following around there and used to have some very good local bands. Some of the better bands from KC and St Louis will travel to Spfld to play as well.

When/where is the first bluegrass festival this year?
Every year in November at the Doolittle rural fire protection district fire station 1 they have a bluegrass festival/auction fundraiser lots of good fun to be had.
