Gulf Coast Fishing

Throw out some good fishing spots for people visiting the area as well as other locals to use. (you dont have to give away your super secret ones) Its easy for those of us on the Gulf, but it can be anywhere in AL.

Here's mine:
Bayou Sara boat launch, on the street next to Big Lots in Saraland, AL. follow the signs. incredible bass fishing if you walk through the woods to the other side of the bend in the river

I've had good luck fishing around the Riverfront Park Amphitheater in Montgomery. Especially the creek drainage on the east side.

Nighttime bow-fishing is great below Jordan Dam.

Revised Version of the "Fishing Spots" Thread. Throw out some of your favorite fishing spots(you dont have to give up your secret ones). With all the commotion from the BP spill, we need to know where the fish are now since all the old hot spots seem to be gone now, so post some spots!

Bayou Sara Boat Launch, down the road next to Big Lots in Saraland off HWY43, follow the signs once you go over the railroad tracks. Great bass fishing from right off the dock

Give Lake Wedowee in Randolph county a go. Very nice place in the "Weiss" away from all the hussle-bussel.

By boat I like to fish around buccaneer yacht clubs pier. Also, where Dog River splits, the north shore of that point is a great place to pick up some big reds.

I saw a guy catching flounder off of a dock next to the ferry on Dauphin Island.

which dock specifically? The one next to the boat launch at little billy goat hole, or the lighthouse pier? both are next to the ferry

Dog River down by the yacht club. Tons of people fish under the bridge there on land and on boats. Bayou Sara is also great.
