I managed to get most of my stuff moved in three days in the back of an XJ with the help of Keith, my brother, and a small truck.
I signed a 2 year lease to keep from having to do this again.
So far the only thing ruined is my Kitchen table, it was positioned wrong, not covered with moving blankets, and it is very scratched. Aside from that everything seems to be going alright. I have tons of little stuff in my old place still, but I'm thinking it wont be an issue over the next week or so to move it myself in small batches after work.
The last time I moved, my wife was 8 1/2 months pregnant with my now 24 year old daughter. Since I was a rookie, I couldn't ask for help from my workmates, so I moved everything myself. Yeah, I had lots of damage as well.
I'm glad there has not been any yelling so far. If you feel the need, yell at Keith...he'll get over it, the wife won't!
BTW, from your typos, it is apparent you are pretty tired. Go get yourself a double shot expresso immediately!
Moving is a young man's game. I'm reminded of that each time I deny it.
In a more perfect world one person would write down everything another packs in a box. The writer tapes the list to the closed box. This might save you 100 or more hours over the next couple months.
Also try to create "stations" similar to those being left behind in the new place. Gun stuff here, medical stuff there and so forth. Budget for replacing a few things you own but can't find in a reasonable search.

In the last 5 years I have moved 3 times, I am hoping I wont have to do that again for a long time, but i know I have one more coming. Just when I cant tell yet. Seems that every time I have moved it either starts to rain or it snows. I have broken stuff on purpose just so as not to move it, and tell the wife it was an accident.
Organization is the key, and good help if you can find it. I usually end up doing most myself and that is after work or on my days off.
In the end it all works out for the better.
