Talk about the classic childish manuver of "If I don't get my way, I'll take my football and go home. It'll be alright. America will get by without these political fat cats like the Koch brothers. These corporations are nothing more than economic terrorists. This household is making a dedicated effort to boycot them, and their products. Spread the word, and together, America can play the same game. There's more than one football out there! The authors of Communism are beginning to be proven right. Socialism now!
We need more socialism. Public option, doctor pricing controls etc etc. More France!:bananadance:
Okay, so let me get this straight... In another thread you talk about red blooded americans and all this supposed patriotic sounding stuff, right? So do you really think that patriotism and "red blooded American" go along with SOCIALISM? I think that Socialism is the OPPOSITE of what America has stood for (in the past anyway)... So when you talk about your America, you need to be specific and talk about a NEW America. A socialist America is not the America I want...

No we don't need socialism. Look at Europe they are in shambles. Greece is demanding money from Germany and other EU countries.
We need insurance reform. Not socialized health care. Why is it my doctor will accept half of what a procedure costs from the insurance company but if I want to pay for it out of pocket I pay full price.
Insurance shouldn't be used to pay for wellness visits you should pay for those out of pocket because they shouldn't be so expensive.
There are plenty of problems with our country and not a single one could be solved by socialism.

There are plenty of examples of "socialism done right" in the US. Roads, bridges, public parks... I spent last Sunday blasting clay pigeons on a socialized range. State owned, open to the public - that's socialism. I think this is one of the problems. Liberals say socialism and mean these things. Conservatives say socialism and mean government farms and factories.

It is not a socialized economy that pays for US. Roads, bridges, public parks Capitalism produced the wealth that allowed the taxes to produce the funding for those things.
