Benghazi and Watergate

The similarities of Benghazi and Watergate are the lies, deceit and political spin. The differences are that Watergate brought down a president and no one was murdered. I think Benghazi is more important to pursue than was Watergate.

How come no one mentions that the House Republicans turned down a bill just before that, it was supposed to provide $38 million for increased security to embassies.

Did they lie about it and cover it up?

Did the President? You are assuming something that is still in question. If he did, I would be the first to say he needs to go. But the facts aren't there yet.

And, they may never be if he gets his way. BTW I stood for Nixon's and Clinton's impeachment.

Clinton's impeachment as for a personal issue, had nothing to do with government.

Wasn't it for lying to congress?

Didn't come out in testimony as a problem.
Quote:
In testimony before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, Charlene Lamb, a deputy assistant secretary of state for diplomatic security, was asked, ?Was there any budget consideration and lack of budget which led you not to increase the number of people in the security force there??
Lamb responded, ?No, sir.?

Clinton lied to congress about a personal issue that had nothing to do with his office. They should never have asked about his sex life. That was between him and his partners.

While on the job?

Here's an interesting comparison article entitled The Day the Obama Administration Went All Nixon On Us http://www.huffingtonpost.com/will-b...b_3271637.html

Most of the Republicans who went after him, like Newt for example, had admittedly cheated on their wives. Newt did it while his wife was in the hospital with cancer.
