Bloomberg says this regarding break-ins, "Don't try to go for a gun. Somebody pointing a gun at you, you think you are going to outshoot them, that is one of the stupidest things I have ever heard."

I don't know about Bloomberg but my gun is quite close and if I experience a break-in I fully expect to have a round off before any gun is pointed at me. I think Bloomberg's armed guards might do the same.
