The treatment of the prisoners at Gitmo are so much better than other holding facilities elsewhere in the world that there is no comparison. Even our own American prisons have none of the amenities of what we provide at Gitmo.

To be perfectly honest, as one who closely followed the initiation and control of the prisoner facilities at Guantanamo Bay, I cannot remember reading of a single instance of water-boarding a single prisoner there.

I clearly remember reports of such activities by the CIA in Iraq and in Afghanistan. Most of that was by mercenaries and other black ops types working behind the lines.
