Ccw

the total number of negative firearm interactions per individual is around 300,000.

Number of incidents (not people saved, number of times a firearm is used) for defensive gun use (DGU) in the US per year: 500,000-3,500,000.

Crimes committed by CCW holders are LOWER then police, who carry with impunity everywhere.
Ability to stop attacker is GREATER for CCW holders then police.
Ability to identify perpetrator correctly is GREATER for CCW holders then police.
Ability to shoot the target, hit, and avoid peripheral people and property is GREATER for CCW holders then police.

I worry about trigger happy police mistakenly shooting a CCW individual in a real incident. Nothing to do with CCW buI still think the police in Massachusetts were trigger happy, it could have been a runaway kid hiding in that boat.

QUOTE OF THE DECADE

“A liberal’s paradise would be a place where everybody has guaranteed employment, free comprehensive healthcare, free education, free food, free housing, free clothing, free utilities, and only law enforcement has guns. And believe it or not, such a place does indeed already exist: It's called Prison."

This has always been a worry of mine. You have an incident where someone is going to do a shooting, and a ccp dude pulls out his gun only to be shot by another ccp dude thinking he's shooting the other persons partner. Kinda like the militia guy in Oregon who thought he could take the cop in front of him in the name of the constitution only to get beaned from behind by the copster in the woods.

Arpaio.... So, here we go with the black and white thinking again. Seems to be the extreme right wingers theme....... "inside the bubble". Most every liberal I know of either works for everything they get, or has their own business.......i.e. works. The whole SOCIALIST thing is meant to help out folks in cases of emergency or things we absolutely MUST have such as healthcare that cannot be withheld because someone can't pay, disasters such as hurricanes, tornados flooding etc. Roads, highways bridges and even a military that serves EVERYONE. Arpaios ignorance doesn't know the difference between a liberal, a socialist and some lazy piece of crap most likely raised by a pre, or baby boomer generation, or child spun off thereof that doesn't know the value of nor wants to work. There IS a difference!! Anyway, screw Joe Arpaio. Geeeze :

The more the government has to offer the more the hands that reach for it. The BLM may have been a great idea early on but has become a tyrant. People like control, especially bureaucrats. Pickup the phone book and see how many government offices in your area, and we pay for them all adding to the un-resolvable debt. Not only is government overreach repulsive to freedom lovers it is downright expensive.

Here's what socialistic leanings have done for us;
Quote:
On Monday the U.S. national debt hit a new record: $19,012,827,698,418. This is the first time the national debt has ever exceeded $19 trillion. That’s more than $58,000 for each person who lives in the U.S. today (including children).

The main culprit behind the rising deficits and debt is growing federal spending—especially among Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and Obamacare.

Federal health care programs like Medicare, Medicaid, and Obamacare, plus Social Security, and interest on the debt are responsible for 83 percent of the projected increase in spending over the next decade.

Healthcare, expensive. But so is the military, corporate welfare, tax breaks for the wealthy and so on. How can you possibly be cool with privatization of our healthcare when you have deckheads like this guy?

To me, I'll go with a government run system long before I'd put my hands in the private insurance pools hands.

Where's the heart? Where's your heart? I can tell that you obviously have no idea what it's like to live with either paying your rent and prescriptions while forgoing food? People actually go through that Eddie!!!! Seniors. It's unthinkable. It's sickening. There should be absolutely no profit built into peoples health care and well being. I know that these people, most likely you too, that have a golden parachute health plan and retirement really don't give a crap about anyone other than themselves. I work with ultra wealthy folks as part of my job. I see the attitudes. All I know is that I'm not ashamed of who I am and what I stand for. I feel I'm in good company because Social security and medicare still are. incredibly popular. People like it and many folks despise insurance companies. I sure do! Do you go to church Eddie? Just curious.

My BCBS worked quite well for me, but now it can't because it can only pay what's left over after medicare pays. If medicare doesn't approve a procedure or a hospital stay neither does BCBS. Too much government overreach, almost to the death panel stage. Also no money in the treasury to pay for all the handouts. Nothing to do with heart just reality the deep pockets of government are but a myth.

Medicare is meant to be a safety net, and it's military spending, corporate welfare and the wealthy not paying their fair share that's responsible for much of the cut backs, Why then don't you go with private insurance? You can buy a supplemental! Then see what your paying to the insurance and what they offer you! Hell, with people like http://www.nytimes.com/2015/09/21/bu...ests.html?_r=0, it's no wonder the medicare system is being bled dry! Nonetheless, the overwhelming majority of Americans love medicare.

How many years will it take for the government to spend and borrow its way into prosperity for all (and a double portion for those in charge) without the dollar failing?
