Even after hiring Demming to lecture about quality control and management failures AT&T showed no ability to readjust.
A number of groups were formed to allow worker input on quality & costs. My group changed a destructive QC test into a $300,000 nondestructive savings. $50,000 was at the Reading PA location and $250,000 was in our Allentown sister location.

In the end we saved 50K a year in Reading but Allentown spurned the whole idea (cost -$250,000/year) because they hadn't thought of it. These two plants both had DARPA personnel onsite every day.

First I doubt you could explain how a stimulus works and second, I rather doubt you have anything more specific to offer other than a Glen Beck exhortation to "balance the budget". I wish you or someone did know a certain way out of a recession but it appears it's impossible without bipartisan support.

The Right was all about jobs till a jobs bill came along. It's pathetic but the GOP would rather defeat Obama than save the economy.

Glen Beck? I agree actually with what Bill Clinton said. You don't start or stop spending and you should wait until the economy stabilizes before you start raising taxes on anybody. Ever heard of him? He's the guy who libs like to bring up every post that "balanced the budget", and grew flowers at the white house before Bush went out with his cowboy hat and skivs to pee on em while throwing money out the window.
If it weren't for the GOP Obama would have bunches of other trash piled up on us like the stupid EXTREMELY UNPOPULAR Obamacare he shoulv'd up our backsides. He'll be a one termer like papa Bush and maybe in a few yrs his daughter will jump in there and do two with as nasty outcaome as Bush II. Belay the last, WORSER

yes it is amazing, people like to nitpick the little problems and exagerate them regarding single payer health systems, however in those countries where there is any talk about going to a more privatized system they decry how terrible our system is. Yes every healthcare system has issues, but taken as a whole our system is really bad as a purpose of improving the health of our citizens, yes in some cases it's great, but if you don't fit into the specific checklist of protections then it's "too bad, so sad...."

And for the people that say "obama shoved this on us", it's saddening really, the republicans made no attempt to do ANYTHING meaningful to solve it (and most ideas/plans would just make it worse for the people/ but also more profitable for the corporations) and then decry when Obama uses an initially REPUBLICAN designed plan (pre-tea party) to solve this issue, but that still isn't good enough.

Where in the Constitution does it give the federal govt the authority to make someone buy health care or make someone buy anything?

I would be in favor of it if everyone was required to have it and pay for their own. But our elected officials are exempt, some states are exempt, some unions are exempt, some companies are exempt. Seems to be unfairly applied to me.

it's "just a piece of paper"; Dubya

Feds can do pretty much anything like require you to have what Congress authorizes. People have listed dozens of examples so please save this one for Tea parties.

To anyone who is for world singular government and wants to abolish our sovernty would not care what the constitution says. The MAJORITY of Americans weight merit to the constitution and the MAJORITY of Americans hates the Obamacare.

This was a serious question and I had hoped you could at least enlighten me on how an ever growing and controlling govt can make me buy something and why does it not apply to everyone. I really do not like the tea party, we do not need any divisions to either party line.

Guess whose district already has the most exemptions to this upcoming socialist law?!

That dem crazy woman Nancy Pelosi!

Barry's own buddy, and all his and her corporate buddies.

That really tickled me.

My insurance company sent me a letter that Obamacare increase their cost and instread of a 3 to 5% increase, they hit me with 11% increase in my monthly cost as well as an incease in co-pay. So I had to drop dental and vision to afford it because the government won't let me use my own money without stealing from me. (72T) Because I thought ahead to retire early, they want to punish me for it. Now, I will say that there are no friends at any bank or insurance companies and they may be BS'ing just to raise rates but if I drop them too, Obamacare will blast me again. The Federal Gov., can't deliver my mail, they can't manage a check book account, they lie cheat and STEAL from Americans and now they want to dictate my healthcare! They can go take a flying suck at a galloping goose's behind!! Obama's out in 12 and so is his healthcare trash.

and nonsense, nothing in there increases the cost unless you have adult children still on the plan, it is an excuse to pass more cost on to you, I would bet the companys cost has increased at the same rate it has

U.S. firms expect healthcare costs to rise at lowest rate since 1997 - Los Angeles Times
