The myth of cop killings

http://nypost.com/2016/01/02/myth-of...ling-epidemic/

"•White cops shooting unarmed black men accounted for less than 4% of fatal police shootings.
•In three-quarters of the incidents, cops were either under attack themselves or defending civilians. In other words, doing their jobs.
•The majority of those killed were brandishing weapons, suicidal or mentally troubled or bolted when ordered to surrender.
•Nearly a third of police shootings resulted from car chases that began with a minor traffic stop."

For years, you'd see these high speed police pursuits that would ultimately result in innocent people getting killed by the run away car or police vehicle, many of these pursuits had a helicopter following overhead. It does please me that lawmakers started cracking down on the stupidity of chasing someone over a petty traffic stop that resulted in speeds of over 100 mph, while a helicopter followed overhead. Police have been abusing their power and authority for years. I find it odd that the cops can somehow justify their actions in such cases as the fella who was shot 16 times in 15 seconds while the boy was merely walking down the road, unarmed. Or the kid whose spine was nearly severed. There is a clear history of police abuse and people are beginning to take notice and action.

I'm talking about documented cases of police misconduct. Sure just a small percentage of the overall population but still a problem that pops up on the news every week.

The news reports too much crap just for sensationalism to get ratings. Too much of a the whole story is usually intentionally left out leaving the story that is told misleading. The internet is even worse than TV.
