I had rather be tried by twelve than carried by six. Now NC has wised up and passed a castle law making homeowners safer from intruders.

I borrowed this well phrased statement from another forum and resist giving credit to avoid data mining:
Quote:
I have now realized that my death will likely not be a natural one, nor will that of my sons. We are patriots who strongly believe in the founding principles of this Republic, and we will bear that standard proudly in the face of whatever comes. It won't be for a piece of colored cloth, but for the right to be left alone, to be a free man, and to make our own determinations and path in life. There are forces that we all know are working to take all that away. I think taking a stand against that is our only real hope for survival. Maybe not surviving individually, but as a free society - for our children and later generations. I'm not cut out to be a slave, a serf, or to be forced to dig for roots in order to eat, and I don't intend on dying on my knees begging some commissar for a crust of bread!

Gun Wisdom
Some words to the wise.
Shooting Advice from various Concealed Carry Instructors.

If you own a gun, you will appreciate this. If not, you should get one and learn how to use it:

1. Guns have only two enemies rust and politicians.
2. It’s always better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
3. Cops carry guns to protect themselves, not you.
4. Never let someone or something that threatens you get inside arms length.(ACTUALLY 21 FEET, AS I REMEMBER FROM MY CLASS)
5. Never say "I've got a gun." If you need to use deadly force, the first sound they hear should be the safety clicking off.
6. The average response time of a 911 call is 23 minutes, the response time of a .357 is 1400 feet per second.
7. The most important rule in a gunfight is: Always win - cheat if necessary.
8. Make your attacker advance through a wall of bullets . . . You may get killed with your own gun, but he'll have to beat you to death with it, cause it'll be empty.
9. If you’re in a gun fight:
a. If you're not shooting, you should be loading.
b. If you're not loading, you should be movin’,
c. If you're not movin', you're dead.
10. In a life and death situation, do something . . . It may be wrong, but do something!
(THE LIFE YOU SAVE MAY BE YOUR OWN...........)
11. If you carry a gun, people call you paranoid. Nonsense! If you have a gun, what do you have to be paranoid about?
12. You can say 'stop' or 'alto' or any other word, but a large bore muzzle pointed at someone's head is pretty much a universal language.
13. You cannot save the planet, but you may be able to save yourself and your family.

If you believe in the 2nd Amendment, please forward

Seen in an email. It's no wonder Hillary and Barack are against guns.
Quote:
AMERICA'S HUNTERS --- Pretty Amazing!

The world's largest army... America's hunters!
I had never thought about this...

A blogger added up the deer license sales
in just a handful of states and
arrived at a striking conclusion:

There were over 600,000 hunters
this season in the state of Wisconsin .
Allow me to restate that number:

Over the last several months,
Wisconsin's hunters became the eighth
largest army in the world.

More men under arms than in Iran.

More than France and Germany combined.

These men deployed to the woods of a single American state,
Wisconsin, to hunt with firearms, and no one was killed.

That number pales in comparison to the 750,000
who hunted the woods of Pennsylvania and
Michigan's 700,000 hunters,
all of whom have now returned home safely.

Toss in a quarter million hunters
in West Virginia and it literally establishes the fact
that the hunters of those four states alone
would comprise the largest army in the world.
And then add in the total number of hunters
in the other 46 states.
It's millions more.

The point?

America will forever be safe
from foreign invasion with that
kind of home-grown firepower.

Hunting....
it's not just a way to fill the freezer..
It's a matter of
national security.

***************************************
That's why all enemies,
foreign and domestic,
want to see us disarmed.

Food for thought,
when next we consider gun control.
Have A Great Day!
-------------------------------------
Overall it's true,

so if we disregard some assumptions that
hunters don't possess the same skills as soldiers,
the question would still remain...
what army of 2 million would want to face
30, 40, 50 million armed citizens.
(I FEEL GOOD THAT I HAVE AN ARMY OF MILLIONS WHO WOULD PROTECT OUR LAND AND I
SURE DON'T WANT THE GOVERNMENT TAKING CONTROL OF THE POSSESSION OF FIREARMS)
For the sake of our freedom,
don't ever allow gun control
or confiscation of guns.
