??I guess job growth is up a little...And maybe they are building houses again.... But the price of EVERYTHING is going up rapidly. I attribute that to the governments fiscal practices. I don't think things are turning around. Maybe adjusting direction. The value of the dollar is plummeting. It is still bad.
This is kind of besides the point. Voter attitudes favor the incumbent for all the good times, even if you think the current turn around is due to spending like crazy and not a reflection of "real" economic growth. But really keynesian spending is kind of the norm to pull out of recessions.
We need not argue over the mid-terms. It was a clear stomping, and I don't know how anyone can realistically not see that.
Obama's the highest spending president of all-time.
We could argue all day - our views are clearly very different. Arguing is kind of moot anyways - the American people will speak again in 2012 like they did in 2010.
I mean, remove yourself for a second and put it in context with other opposition party take overs. I'll absolutely concede it is an important event, but it's kind of a blip.
I like arguing. Probably why I'm in law school (or is it lawl school?).
Ask how the other developed nations approached a Recession caused by lack of oversight by Bush.
Most have no clue but parrot a Beck or Bachman.
You're absolutely right. Bush failed to oversee the Democrats in congress who controlled the purse. Gosh darn it, can't let those Dem's off the leash with money...

He has a veto. Passing the emergency spending was bipartisan.
