IIRC, Donald Trump stated last week that we should explore the wealth hidden in our own backyard.

So, I suppose we are glad?

I don't think there will be drilling in the Atlantic anytime 'soon'--could be wrong. Fairly certain those who are concerned with environmental issues off the GA coast have strong opinions.

Water is an issue here--Lake Lanier is close to the drought level of a few years ago. fwiw. I don't think GA has hidden wealth beneath the surface and certainly not much above.

clearly I am 'uninformed' on almost every issue. I suppose I could try to educate myself--no help from CNN and FOX. It is difficult.

It's about time he did something right. A lot of folks want to BAN BAN BAN anything as soon as there's a problem with it instread of making it safer by learning from mistakes. Nuclear power too and coal is another.

One of Obama's campaign promises was to lessen the need for foreign oil. Drilling here is a good start to that.
