republican congress approval rating around 20-25%

Congress: Republicans

so in this net election will the general populace be able to recognize that the GOP is holding up all progress towards repairing the economy and vote for Obama? or will it simply be a vote of "it isn't fully recovered, let's try anyone else?"

Some republicans have made it clear their number one goal is for Obama to fail, not the economy, or anything else, just making sure Obama fails, and I think people are starting to see that republicans are willing to destroy the economy for a win and I hope it backfires on them. With a roughly equal split we should have solutions that are roughly equal, but republicans won't stand for anything that is in any way shape or form a compromise.

Yes we need Obamas far, far left, socialist policies to fail, not the democratic party, but the policies that this administration is trying to instill in our democratic governing body. If you want to see how our society will be under his vision, simply look at the former Soviet Union. Working well for them isn't it. You want that? I sure don't.

And don't think I'm blindly supporting the Tea Party or the far right cause I've voted equally on both sides of the ticket since I started voting back in the 70's. Bredeson(D)did a lot of great things while he was mayor of Nashville and while he served as Governor. I've, until the last election, supported Jim Cooper(D) as my House Representative, never again though and many of our locals.

If you want to see the destruction of what made this the greatest nation since the beginning of time, then by all means support the one who wants to crash and reinvent the land we live in. I'll not go quietly into the night.

And as far as approval ratings...isn't that twice what it was when Nancy held the reins?

This is a good tactic by the Dem's - I'll give them that. Unfortunately, anyone even mildly government-savvy can look up the list of Obama-backed legislations that have been voted down by his own Democrats in the Senate, which they control. Both sides are more non-conforming than ever - the Dem's are just masters of deceit in the media.

Obama failed on his own. The populace should never have elected such an inexperienced and unknown candidate.

I disagree, the republicans have walked away with far more of what they want then democrats have, a lot more! (excluding healthcare)
