If the stats below aren't a good argument for states rights then I don't know what is.... The issues polled below are issues that (in my opinion) are irreconcilable. Meaning that there is not a reasonable way to compromise. One sides idea of compromise is the other side essentially "losing". Basically no compromise will make both sides happy.
(July 2012) 47% say it is more important to control gun ownership, while 46% say it is more important to protect the rights of Americans to own guns.

It may not be a perfect answer but it seems to be the one most likely to make everyone happy. The Federal Gov't would have to give up ALOT of control. Any suggestions? (Other than why one side is right or wrong, plenty of other threads on that!)
By the way, on the issues above I do have opinions (as many of you may know) but that's not what this thread is about. It is about states rights. Why, why not. Would it put us in a better place?
Oh, and it would probably make it where there are states that are pro abortion, pro homosexuality, pro union, pro gov't healthcare, anti-gun, and pro open borders. Then states that are "pro life", anti gay marriage, "free to work", private insurance, pro gun, and controlled borders. I think that is likely the way it would end up. I wonder the success of each state?
