How are we to compete with China?

we can't compete with a country where workers work 12 hour shifts for 2 weeks at a time before a day off and don't have to concern themselves with safety or labor laws all for about $300 per MONTH, and strikes are met with arrests as well. The republicans yell "deregulate"...... so they want us to level ourselves with China. As odd as it is China is the America republicans dream of as far as businesses go, no regulations, no unions, just profit, look at how much those job creators unbounded by regulations are helping people out!!!

Any politician that tells you we can become a manufacturing economy again is leading us down the wrong path, we cannot win this game

the new american way...... what less regulation will bring....

They will organize sooner or later. But dang this is scary, not what they are doing and what the union busters want, but that you and I, redjeepxj, actually agree on something.

and before MSHA and the UMUA, when they would strike for wage and safety, they were beaten down, (see were the term "redneck" comes from) and when safety was a concern in southern AZ, miners were actually DEPORTED. (see Bisbee deportation 1917-18)

How can American workers compete at any level when the current administration disqualifies American companies from bidding on DOD warplanes and then awards $10B contract to a Brazilian company? Brazilian?? American warplanes!! Somebody tell me how that works.

It's very simple actually, we can only borrow so much from China, we have to buy the cheapest planes.

Yes, and then the prices for just about everything we buy will go up and the quality will be even worse. People will complain about the high prices
because no more people here will have jobs, and those that do will have to spend a lot more money so the companies that manufacture in China can maintain their profits.
