Mexico has huge problems and we are not in a position to really help them hold things together. Unfortunately, should Mexico become a failed state, you can expect hundreds of thousands or millions of Mexican refugees to head north quickly. How will we deal with them? We're broke as it is.

Iran is my biggest concern. It should have been dealt with before now. It's looking like Israel will have to deal with Ahmedinejad.

China probably won't attack the U.S. proper, but it certainly may expand its sphere of influence in the far East, and that could severely impact Taiwan, South Korea and Japan and possibly Australia.

But if the bottom drops out of the dollar and we see severe inflation, what will happen here at home? A disturbingly large percentage of Americans are on the dole in one way or another. If the amount these people are getting from the government becomes insufficient to live on, it may well be that we see civil unrest particularly in urban areas. When people don't eat or when their kids get really hungry, people do some desperate things.

My concern is those who are in need will gravitate to those who are doing comparatively well to take what they want, and things will get messy.

When those 9 million folks decide to flee NYC......they will come for you and yours.

Do you have a plan?

Are you armed? rifle and hand gun for each adult and min. 5K rounds for each rifle?

Food, water, meds, fuel, bug out plan?

Most of you have no idea what we will face in the near future, no comprehention at all.

If you have no plan....dead man walking.

BTW, Mexico is a failed state.

Why do you think we have an 'open border' policy.....just curious for your thoughts...anyone?

4 Americans killed in separate attacks in Mexican border city

Mexico: 4 US citizens killed in separate attacks

CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico ? Four U.S. citizens were shot to death in separate attacks in the border city of Ciudad Juarez, Mexican authorities said Monday. Chihuahua state prosecutors' spokesman Arturo Sandoval said Edgar Lopez, 35, of El Paso, Texas, was killed Sunday along with two Mexican men when gunmen opened fire on a group standing outside a house. On Saturday, a 26-year-old U.S. woman and an American boy were slain shortly after crossing an international bridge from El Paso. Giovanna Herrera and Luis Araiza, 15, were shot to death along with a Mexican man traveling with them just after 11 a.m., Sandoval said. Sandoval said authorities also identified a 24-year-old woman killed Friday inside a tortilla shop as Lorena Izaguirre, a U.S. citizen and El Paso resident. A Mexican man was also found dead in the store. Ciudad Juarez has become one of the world's deadliest cities amid a turf war between the Sinaloa and Juarez drug cartels. More than 2,000 people have been killed this year in the city, which is across the border from El Paso.

ISMURPHY; we're not saying there's not going to be a border conflict, just not a war with Mexician troops. And even if one did break out, it wouldn't last long if our military got down to business and did the job and not play games like we did in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afganistan. Texas alone has enough military fire power to bring Mexico to their knees.

Our biggest worries are China, Russia and Muslem nations. If there was ever a cordinated effort by Islam extremists here in the states similar to 911 but on a more wider scale and involving say dirty bombs, USA would be in a world of hurt. But it will be our fault because we're not dealing with these people harshly enough, we're trying to fight a clean, fair fight that has never worked well in the past. We're idiots because we don't see our past history of the wars we fought like that. There is always a possiblity that Muslem nations would team up with China and Russia for a cordinated attack on us too. But both Russia and China will be stupid if they do that because the Muslems have said for thousands of years that their to be the rulers of the world, thus once we're defeated the Muslems would turn on China and Russia; Russia of all countries should know this, a similar situation occured with them in WW2 with Germany.

I know China is waiting to build their military up enough to where they think they could beat us, then they will attack, it's just a matter of time, it could be 10 to 20 years, but 20 years tops. Or China could build it up enough to be a maybe win or lose then join forces with Russia which could bring down the time window to 5 to 15 years. I've talked to people about this before and you get all the doubters saying China won't do that because that will screw their financial dreams...but China has already said publically that bringing down the USA might cost them 20 years of financial success but they didn't care because they've already waited a couple of thousand years so whats another 20! China has been and still is beating the war drums, their just waiting for the right time. Problem is with all of that is you know nukes will fly, it's going to be a mess on Earth for a long time afterwards.

Will, there is no will left in this country.

Borders Language Culture

The battle is within. Seriously, I'm far more concerned from the threat within our own border than any other country.

I've followed this trend for more that a decade myself, the attack has been ongoing for more than a century though, but a full frontal assult since the 1960s.

There is about 1% of us who understand the assult against us (1%ers) and about 3% willing to fight when the time comes, about he same 3% as in the first Revolution (3%ers), currently, the Counter Revolution.

No, our military is impotent, our leadership is currupt, and our commoner is fat and lazy and stupid, not to mention a coward.

You are now experiencing the days that were....and yet you have no idea.

And your fears are valid. Suffice to say, I hope you are not being prescient.

Close/lock our southern border------------using military force as needed. Note I live here in Arizona about 150 miles N of Mexico.

Note in all fairness that both China and Russia have a huge 'joker in the deck'; namely their very below replacement birthrates will likely put a brake on military action against the USA. Read that they don't have the demographic pressures that Nazi Germany or Imperial Japan did 70 years ago.
