Anyone else enjoy spending time out there?

Let's hope we get our beach back soon since that was most of the fun in going.

I went to Lake McConaughy when I was going to school in Oshkosh and later on when I moved into Lewellen. The lake was pretty full. Great fishing!! We moved out here to Michigan and my Daughter and I went back in 2006 and when I stopped at Cedar View, there was no lake, only sand. I had Samantha stand at the end of the concrete boat ramp where I used to swim in my high school days, and she wasn't even CLOSE to any water. Has it come back up?

ITS FULL! Actually it got to around 91% full, but the locals will even tell you the lake is full when it is 80%-85%. Basically you take access roads to your campsite and park. There is NO beach to drive on. There was near flood stage and above inflows from the end of May up until 3-4 weeks ago which filled filled it up. And some people said just last year that we will never see it full again in our time. ahahaha

I was surprised at how full it is, but now a lot of it at the west end has trees and brush sticking up out of the water.
Might make some good fish habitat though.

My Daughter, Samantha and I, went to Nebraska on a trip in 2006, back to the 'ol stomping grounds. Here is Cedar View then:

One of Sam at the end of the concrete boat loading ramp....

I have other pictures around Leymone. My Aunt Georgia Rittenhouse was able to get to the "old" Leymoyne where my Uncle Evan (her husband) had preached in a church. Now only a foundation, but it was still there.
