I regularly take the from from the North Valleys in Reno to Carson City for Kim Lee's sushi. Amazing stuff

For breakfast, the best place to go is Cracker Box. For Lunch, I tend to really like Firkin and Fox. It's a franchise and pretty solid pub fair.
For dinner, now there's some interesting choices. If you want some rotating menu from an amazing french chef, go to Z Bistro, it's hidden back on College Drive near the Wal-Mart. Or if you want something simpler, all the stuff downtown, like The Basil are awesome.
Red's Old 395 is pretty awesome: 101 beers and tons of BBQ.
So depends what you're in the mood for.

OH! I just remembered there's an amazing mexican restaurant hiding in Cactus Jack's or possibly the Horseshoe Club (same building so I forget what). It's a called "Joe's Mexican Restaurant" Simple I know but delicious and fresh.

Sharkey died a few years ago. When the new owners first took over it was horrible and nothing like what sharkey would have liked. Now it is a little better but still not the original "Sharkeys"
